The Girl of the Golden West (Ladies) - Opera North

The Girl of the Golden West was set in the American West during the California Gold Rush and designed by Gabrielle Dalton. I worked on both men’s and ladies costumes. My task was to help make the costumes prior to the first fittings and finish off the costumes.

I worked on the only principal lady's costume. The character was a pregnant Native American woman, whose costume consisted of a wool petticoat, red appliquéd dress and wool coat.
