Hamlet - Sheffield Theatres (Crucible)

The 2010 production of Hamlet starring John Simm, at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre was my first investigation in to a possible career as a costume maker. I volunteered at Sheffield Theatres for one day a week for two months. The production was designed by Tom Skutt.

While working in the wardrobe department I had a variety of roles which included pressing, overlocking, marking up, flat tacking and garment construction ready for fittings.
